Horizon37 is looking for a Leadership Expert to join our dynamic team of experts and brilliant business people, on a self-employed basis. In this role, you will benefit from our unique training approach, exclusive learning opportunities, as well as being part of a community of experts with diverse leadership specialisms.

Horizon37 delivers leadership programmes to rapidly growing businesses.

We are currently a Founder-led team of 15 (a mixture of employees and contractors), including leadership experts (leading delivery and programmes) and our back-office (who are called the “Dynamo Team”).

Job mission

Deliver valuable and valued leadership programmes for Horizon37 customers, including:

  • HorizonMethod modules as part of our programmes in your specialist area (usually half-day), Discover, Align, Transform and Transform Together programmes
  • Individual 1:1 coaching based on insight from diagnostic tools (and their experience from the team coaching), as part of Horizon37 programmes
  • Gathering and making sense of insights (including by interviewing Board members) to identify priority leadership step-ups for our customers
  • Both contributing and benefitting from being part of the creative thinking, learning and development within the Delivery team, so that we can continue maximising our value for customers

Candidate attributes

  1. Talent and commitment to leadership with a deep specialism in a relevant area to innovation scale-up businesses (e.g. Conflict resolution, Business strategy, Stakeholder alignment)
  2. Understanding and interest in our sector (innovation/growth business ecosystem)
  3. A wealth of experience of 1:1 and/or group coaching of leaders, and in a senior leadership position
  4. Structured and concise written communication, including charts and diagrams
  5. Self-awareness regarding your own value and strengths as a leadership expert
  6. Excellent listener, engaging and credible with customers
  7. Entrepreneurial attitude of being proactive with creating value for Horizon37 customers
  8. Enthusiasm to embody the Horizon37 Customer Promise (see above)
  9. Readiness to value and engage in teamwork and the Horizon37 community
  10. Integrity and professionalism

Practicalities

  • Work flexibly, on a self-employed basis
  • Ongoing contractual agreement laying out commitments both ways in our relationship
  • Standard fees paid per project
  • Work remotely, from home (with some travel to customers)
  • Start date: Rolling
